Petrovsky stadium which is actually the biggest sport arena of St. Petersburg is located on Petrovsky island, picturesque part of Petrograd Side. It was built in 1925 with a capacity of 33,000 and named in honor of Lenin. After several reconstructions its capacity has decreased to 22,025.
